Job summary

Google LLC in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead Model Garden and 3P API initiatives. You will own third‑party model strategy, drive integration and commercialization of the world’s top AI models, and partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure a premier developer and enterprise experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
• 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
• Experience working with foundation model providers.
• Experience designing commercial models and pricing strategies for 3P APIs and open-source offerings.
• Experience with LLM architectures, inference infrastructure, and the scaling of API-based businesses or cloud platforms.

• Prioritize high-impact partner models for Model Garden using a rigorous framework balancing performance, safety, and market demand.
• Design business frameworks for 3P APIs and open-source offerings to ensure sustainable growth and engaging positioning.
• Own KPIs, formulate GTM strategy, and partner directly with Sales and customers to drive adoption and product-market fit.
• Act as the primary product interface for top AI research organizations, proactively resolving technical, legal, and commercial roadblocks.
• Mentor "Model PMs" and elevate product management excellence by establishing best practices for model lifecycle management and integration.

• Deep understanding of the Generative AI landscape, including LLM architectures, inference infrastructure, and the open-source AI ecosystem.

You will require a blend of deep technical understanding, strategic business development, and the ability to navigate complex cross‑functional landscapes. Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
