Job summary

Spotify's BEAT platform seeks a senior leader to drive product strategy for internal developer platforms and AI-powered tooling. You will guide backend development vision, balance platform reliability with innovation, and mentor a high-performing team of Product Managers.

You will partner with senior engineers and the Backend Advisory Board, ensuring alignment with Core Infrastructure goals while delivering shared infrastructure initiatives across studios.

Qualifications

• Experience leading product organizations that build internal developer platforms, infrastructure products, or engineering tools at scale.
• Ability to coach Product Managers across levels and build strong leadership teams.
• Deep understanding of how AI and large language models transform software development.
• Experience defining success metrics for internal platform products focused on developer productivity, reliability, adoption, and engineering effectiveness.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and strategic concepts.
• Commitment to inclusive product development and diverse perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the product strategy for BEAT and define the vision for agent-native backend development across Spotify's platform.
• Shape how AI and LLM-powered capabilities transform the software development lifecycle.
• Stay close to the product by using and evaluating BEAT's developer tools.
• Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team.
• Partner with the Engineering Area Lead to align priorities.
• Build trusted partnerships with senior engineers and the Backend Advisory Board.
• Collaborate across Product Areas, studios, and the Platform Mission to deliver shared infrastructure initiatives.
• Own delivery against Core Infrastructure's strategic commitments.
