As Group Manager of Product for GitLab's Analytics stage, you'll lead a high-impact team focused on transforming data insights throughout the DevSecOps lifecycle. Reporting to the VP of Product, you'll collaborate with Data and Analytics functions to drive strategic vision and execution.

Your role involves shaping our product strategy for GitLab's Analytics ecosystem—covering data collection, processing, storage, management, and visualization through our unified data insights platform. You will ensure our architecture scales efficiently, providing a robust foundation for enterprise data exploration.

Your leadership will empower GitLab teams to make data-driven decisions and unlock insights for customers, helping optimize DevSecOps workflows and accelerate feature development. Your work will directly influence how organizations understand and improve their software delivery performance.

What You'll Do
  1. Build & Develop an Elite Product Team
    • Attract, recruit, and retain exceptional product talent in a competitive market
    • Design personalized growth trajectories, balancing individual aspirations with company needs
    • Provide timely, candid feedback and coaching to address performance gaps
  2. Drive Strategic Vision & Execution
    • Architect and champion the Analytics stage vision aligned with GitLab's strategic goals
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape product direction
    • Translate high-level vision into actionable roadmaps with milestones
  3. Deliver Exceptional Customer Value
    • Use data insights and customer feedback to guide product decisions and success metrics
    • Maintain quality while balancing velocity and innovation
    • Translate customer challenges into valuable product solutions
  4. Lead Cross-Functional Integration
    • Coordinate technical alignment across Analytics components and DevSecOps lifecycle
    • Foster collaboration with Engineering, UX, Quality, Data, Legal, and Go-to-Market teams
    • Identify opportunities for product overlap and cross-team solutions
  5. Champion Product Evangelism
    • Articulate the Analytics vision through customer conversations, documentation, and demos
    • Create internal momentum via showcases, blog posts, and knowledge sharing
    • Develop deep product expertise to identify integration opportunities and strategic advantages
What You'll Bring
  • Experience leading a team of Product Managers
  • Proven achievements as a Product Manager (IC level)
  • Experience hiring in high-growth environments
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps
  • Experience with large-scale data platforms and customer-facing analytics products
  • Understanding of the competitive landscape in data analytics, especially in DevSecOps and AI workflows
  • Technical understanding of data movement systems (instrumentation, ingestion, storage, processing, analytics)

You will lead a distributed team of Product Managers working closely with Engineering and UX, focusing on GitLab's Analytics section—covering data instrumentation, collection, processing, transformation, and presentation for internal and customer use.

The base salary range varies by location and is determined based on experience, education, skills, and market data. For residents of certain states, the range is $145,600—$312,000 USD. Details on benefits and equity are available on our site.
