Join us as a Group Manager - Automation (Brittain Electric) at MKD Electric

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Group Manager to oversee installation and troubleshooting of controls and electrical systems on critical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building automation, electrical engineering, project management, and team leadership.

This role involves managing the field service team, ensuring project success, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Managing Field Service Operations: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient service delivery.
  2. Providing technical expertise for automation systems and electrical infrastructure.
  3. Coordinating project planning, execution, and tracking with project managers.
  4. Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  5. Leading, mentoring, and developing the field service team.
  6. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
  7. Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Engineering Degree in a relevant field, or 5-10 years of experience with electrical systems.
  • 3-5 years of field service experience with industrial instrumentation and controls.
  • Knowledge of SCADA, EPMS, PLC systems, and low voltage controls.
  • Ability to read MEP drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with project management software and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
