York County is seeking a bargaining unit supervisory position responsible for ensuring proper, effective, and efficient use of workers and resources to maximize productivity. The role covers varied trades and requires outdoor work in all weather, with supervision duties and safety emphasis.
The position requires overseeing equipment operation, training new workers, and coordinating with vendors and inspectors on projects, while maintaining records and safety compliance.
This bargaining unit supervisory position is responsible for ensuring workers, including but not limited to full-time co-workers, part- time seasonal employees, ARD, out mates, volunteers, and equipment and materials are used properly, effectively, and efficiently to maximize productivity. Performs varied, semi-skilled and craft-skilled duties such as masonry, plumbing, etc. Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather. This position is considered an essential employee as the department supports County operations.
WORK HOURS: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Tuesday through Friday) AND 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Saturday)
