Job summary

Commonpoint Queens is seeking a Group Leader to supervise a group of neurodiverse children in the Special Services Department. The role involves directing daily activities, ensuring safety, and coordinating youth workers to deliver age-appropriate programming.

The position reports to the Director and Assistant Director, with part-time scheduling from 2pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday, in person at the Little Neck location. Prior Commonpoint experience and BA are pluses.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with neurodiverse individuals is preferred.
• BA in a related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead group room management and supervise staff.
• Develop individualized activity plans and maintain progress notes.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for participants.
• Record attendance and submit Medicaid billing where required.
• Foster a positive, respectful work environment.
