Job summary

Toyota Deutschland GmbH is seeking an Operations Leader to manage day-to-day production activities with a safety and quality mindset and to develop a team of direct reports. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will help meet daily KPI targets and ensure on-time product delivery.

• Spend significant time on the production floor overseeing processes and developing team members' manufacturing capabilities and problem-solving methodologies
• Provide leadership coaching and mentorship to all team members with a strong focus on people development
• Establish and manage a visual floor management system
• Meet production KPIs, create and visualize production status, drive measurable and continual improvements
• Promote and exemplify a safety-first work culture
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions. Uphold company values and ensure that all team members do the same
• Lead hiring and establishing the manufacturing team, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding
• Potential for travel to Japan to acquire first-hand knowledge, technical know-how, and manufacturing best practices for implementing battery manufacturing plans
• Ensure the manufacturing team gains and deploys this knowledge and has access to best practice resources
