What you’ll do
  1. Execute the operational plan of an engineering task based on engineering designs and work specifications.
  2. Work closely with external contractors and ensure the quality of delivered services and products.
  3. Set up or adjust complex equipment according to manufacturing specifications.
  4. Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization.
  5. Assist the Supervisor in managing maintenance activities and delegate responsibilities when appropriate.
  6. Assist in monitoring and managing preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
  7. Examine equipment to identify mechanical malfunctions and recommend solutions.
  8. Identify training opportunities for individuals and departments.
  9. Monitor daily activities of production mechanics and provide guidance.
  10. Review machine efficiencies to meet or exceed standards.
  11. Train personnel and trainees to operate and repair equipment.
  12. Assist with line changeovers, setups, and equipment fine-tuning.
  13. Highlight opportunities for continuous improvement.
  14. Monitor equipment performance and communicate necessary corrections.
  15. Coordinate with other group leaders during shift changes to share information and concerns.
