Qualifications

Your role at Baxter:

As a Group Leader (Devices, Microbore, Molding, Plastic Cell, Solutions) - Weekend Shifts Night 6:30pm - 6:00am, two 8 hour day shifts during weekdays, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes and methods meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our Quality System Regulation, ensuring that every product we produce is detailed and meets our outstanding standards.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Assists in implementing and coordinating daily activities in the manufacturing area to ensure manufacturing goals and project deadlines are met while maintaining compliance with current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs), environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines and any other regulations that apply.
  2. Focus on creating a positive and equitable working environment emphasizing the Baxter Shared Values and Leadership Expectations and Culture Levers.
  3. Monitors and controls labor efficiency, downtime, scrap, conversion loss and other key performance indicators.
  4. Identifies and supports VIP projects.
  5. Aids and assists in equipment troubleshooting problems.
  6. Audits manufacturing areas assuring compliance with specifications, batch record documentation and procedures.
  7. Supports and assures compliance with all the Operational Excellence projects implemented in his/her area.
  8. Conducts periodic meetings with employees as required.
  9. Collaborates in the investigation and solution of quality issues and complaints.
  10. Assigns employees to specific jobs/job rotations and monitors personnel performance. Provides feedback to supervisor/manager and director concerning employee job performance.
  11. Tracks completion of monthly/quarterly ACE's Check-Ins with all line/area employees.
  12. Computer literate. Hands-on experience on computer programs, such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
  13. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to interface well with other departments, and lead operators effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
  14. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing plant setting.
  15. Strong writing skills and ability to prepare reports, write business correspondence and procedure manuals in English.
  16. Able to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions.
  17. Ability to understand GMPs and other regulatory guidelines applicable to the medical/pharmaceutical industry.
  18. Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  19. Must be able to work rotating shifts & weekends.
  20. Ability to understand technical drawings.
  21. Ability to follow written procedures and/or verbal instructions communications by phone, fax or shortwave radios.
  22. Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

What you'll bring:

Associate Degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration or Technology with a Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing processes, preferably in pharmaceutical/solutions filling manufacturing environment or Bachelor Degree with a Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing processes, preferably in pharmaceutical/solutions filling manufacturing environment.
