As a Production Group Leader, you will serve as the first-line leader, supporting team members within your designated area. Your primary responsibility will be coordinating daily operations to meet production schedules while ensuring your team’s success.

Shift Details:

  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
  • Occasional PAIDovertime on Fridays (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM) may be required (currently about 50% of Fridays are worked)
Key Responsibilities
  • Support and manage a team of 20-30 Production Associates.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging all team members to contribute.
  • Lead with respect, ensuring professional and constructive interactions.
  • Focus on waste reduction and skill development to enhance lean operations.
  • Ensure all employees receive proper training in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 6S.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to provide necessary support.
  • Set and achieve annual goals aligned with operational metrics.
  • Drive process improvements, reducing inventory and work-in-progress.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations concerns.
  • Work closely with Union Stewards on contract and disciplinary matters.
Requirements

Experience & Education:

  • 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations (preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead with a servant leadership mindset.
  • Internship, co-op, or relevant professional experience will be considered.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Self‑motivated and goal‑driven, with strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, encouraging proactive thinking and solutions.
  • Knowledge of process control, production scheduling, Kaizen, Kanban, and Lean manufacturing (preferred).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stoop, bend, stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs without assistance.
