Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in the Rocky Mount, NC area is seeking a Team Lead - Press for 2nd shift. You will guide daily lead duties, assign work, monitor progress, enforce PPE and safety, and back up the supervisor when needed.

You will also back up the process technician as required. Responsibilities include running the press, training new associates, leading the line to meet schedules, managing paperwork and SAP confirmations, and coordinating with other departments to maintain quality and

Qualifications

  • Understanding of the Press processes and procedures and ability to run the press, trouble shoot at least minor press issues as well as serve as back up for the process technician as needed.
  • Capable of training new associates on processes and procedures.
  • Leading the production line to ensure product is produced according to schedule.
  • Providing work assignments, daily production paperwork, and monitoring progress of production staff throughout the day or as directed by the supervisor.
  • Verify production paperwork is completed and accurate.
  • Complete confirmations in SAP
  • View and Understand planned schedule
  • Print Work Orders
  • Complete and email pass down notes, end of shift reports and effectivity sheet.
  • Ensure work areas are kept free of unnecessary objects, and housekeeping is acceptable.
  • Redirect employees that are out of area or off task.
  • Replenish consumables as needed.
  • Assist supervisor with monitoring employees that are leaving for and/or returning from break early/late.
  • Provide honest, accurate and timely feedback to supervisor regarding employee performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead by example, must follow all policies and procedures as well as ensuring the team is following them. Reporting to the supervisor as needed.
  • Capable of holding the pre-shift/tier 1 meeting when needed.
  • Monitor and address quality of parts produced by casters. Assist them in resolving any issues. Retraining as needed.
  • Must maintain a good working relationship with other departments.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and requirements as well as ensure the team follows all safety guidelines and requirements.
  • Other job-related task assigned by the supervisor.

The team lead- Press is responsible for all daily lead duties for the press team. This includes assigning work, monitoring progress, enforcing PPE and safety, directing and redirecting employees, and serving as a backup for the supervisor in the event of their absence. The team lead will also be able to back up the process technician as needed

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm with OT as needed (during the week and weekends)

  • (Internal Candidates) Must be in good standing (no more than 1 active disciplinary write-up and no more than 1 attendance point)
