Job summary

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California seeks a Technical Group Supervisor for Mechanical Structures & Articulation (352C) to recruit, mentor, and lead a 10–15 person team across multiple flight projects. You will direct staff development, collaborate with project customers and engineers, and ensure delivery of high‑quality hardware and systems from concept to launch.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical engineering for flight projects and hardware development test beds.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
• Proven ability to work with engineers and managers across disciplines.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Mentoring and staff development experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication; travel readiness.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, manage, mentor, coach, and develop group members (352C).
• Interact with project customers and engineers to meet objectives.
• Provide end-to-end systems and hardware development leadership for flight projects.
• Ensure adherence to flight project practices and design principles.
• Lead workforce planning, training, and performance assessment.
