Job summary

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA seeks a Technical Group Supervisor to lead the Mechanical Structures & Articulation group. You will manage staffing, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver flight hardware and deployable robotic systems.

The role emphasizes engineering leadership, project integration, and adherence to flight project practices across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in payload and/or small spacecraft development.
• Ability to work across multiple projects and teams.
• Strong communication with engineers and managers at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce planning, recruiting, training, and performance assessment.
• Foster a diverse, respectful, inclusive, and equitable workplace.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to group members.
• Interface with project and line managers to resolve staffing needs.
• Support scheduling, costing, and product deliveries per flight practices.
• Provide end-to-end systems and hardware development leadership for flight projects.
• Direct design and delivery of moving mechanical assemblies interfacing with electronics.
