Job summary

Integra LifeSciences in Mansfield, MA is seeking an Assembly/Packaging Team Leader to operate packaging equipment and ensure finished products meet specifications under SOPs and GMP guidelines.

The role reports to the Production Supervisor/Associate Production Manager and requires daily commuting to Mansfield for 1st or 2nd shift. You will coordinate with support areas, maintain equipment, uphold safety, and document processes with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Daily commute to Mansfield, MA for 1st or 2nd shift with possible overtime.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in clean room environments preferred.
  • GMP or regulated environment experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical skills preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Good English reading/writing/speaking skills required.
  • Basic math skills and working with decimals needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand/sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Operate packaging equipment and test devices to package finished products.
  • Follow SOPs and GMP guidelines; maintain clean/organized work area (6S).
  • Coordinate with manufacturing support areas and communicate issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order and keep training records.
  • Complete manufacturing documentation accurately.
  • Assist in inventory tracking and sample handling.
  • Ensure quality inspections per control procedures.
  • Utilize office equipment and computer systems as required.

Assembly/Packaging Team Leader will be responsible for using equipment to package finished products according to established specifications and perform operations as described by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and or Associate Production Manager.

Primary responsibilities are:
  • Work closely with other manufacturing support areas to coordinate activities.
  • Maintain equipment in proper working order. Maintain individual training records.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment. Follow safety procedures and practices.
  • Maintain a clean orderly work environment (6s).
  • Communicate problems to supervisor, technician or engineer.
  • Properly complete manufacturing documentation.
  • Operate machinery and test equipment.
  • Conduct quality inspection of work in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Assist in tracking inventory and samples. Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.

This position requires daily commute to Mansfield, MA for the 1st shift or 2nd shift position and may require additional overtime, including weekends and Holidays.

A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required.

Experience Working In a Clean Room Environment Is Preferred.

Experience working in a Medical Device manufacturing environment preferred.

Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or another regulated environment preferred.

Basic Mechanical Skills Preferred.

Basic computer skills required.

The ability to work independently and in a team, environment is required.

The ability to communicate effectively (read, write and speak) in English is required.

Basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and work with decimals, required.

The ability to lift up to 25 poundsand to stand and sit for extended periods of time. Also, the ability to work in an open work area and in a manufacturing/machine shop environment on a daily basis

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment. Strong computer skills are required.

Salary Pay Range

$26.21 - $35.38 USD Hourly

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
