Job description

Position Description

Oversees the assembly of the assigned product lines and delegates daily work assignments. Performs production work as needed.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Oversees the assembly of products, ensuring the highest quality at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards.
  2. Organizes space, equipment, and personnel work assignments for successful execution of the production schedule, making adjustments as necessary.
  3. Trains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  4. Resolves routine production and personnel problems; reports non-routine problems to supervisor.
  5. May perform equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and setup activities to ensure compliance.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Possesses strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to use all types of hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of BOM system.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.
Education

High School diploma or General Education Degree.

Experience Requirements
  • 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Moderate physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25 to 50 lbs/11-27 kg), and occasionally lifting heavy weight materials (up to 70 lbs).
  • Generally good working conditions.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
  • Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
