Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • CPR, First Aid, NCI, and/or MedTech certification preferred.

Responsibilities

We are hiring for:

Group Home Supervisor/PA at PAhtrners Deaf Services

Type: Regular

Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees and manages operations of 1-3 facilities providing Non-ICF services. Leads and directs the work of Direct Support Associates and is responsible for the operations of the assigned locations.

*MUST BE FLUENT IN AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE*

Pay: $26.44/hr

Reports To: IDD Residential Team Leader or above

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clinical and healthcare staff to maintain communication, provide feedback, standardize procedures, and implement person-centered plans.
  • Monitor and provide feedback to staff during all shifts, ensuring positive interactions with clients and maintaining harmony.
  • Conduct audits for medication administration.
  • Resolve employee issues and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure employees meet training requirements and attend required events.
  • Monitor budget items within guidelines.
  • Provide after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the care rotation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities
  • Flexible schedule and availability for on-call coverage
  • Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. and provide CPR after certification
  • CPR, First Aid, NCI, and/or MedTech certification preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) required

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Regularly lift 30 lbs.; able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Perform physical activities such as squatting, kneeling, crawling, crouching, climbing, and stooping.
  • Use hands frequently to handle objects and tools.
  • Stand and walk regularly.
  • Demonstrate CPR proficiency from the floor level.
  • Maintain vision requirements including close, distance, and peripheral vision.
