Job Summary

Supervises staff engaged in non-professional programs including personal care, social training, recreation, and cleanliness to promote residents' well-being. Performs related duties as required.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees daily operations of the group home, including resident care, staffing, supplies, maintenance, and record keeping.
  • Supervises staff in personal care, ensuring residents' health, safety, and needs are met.
  • Plans and evaluates work, manages staff performance, and handles disciplinary actions.
  • Schedules staff shifts in compliance with regulations and ensures coverage during emergencies.
  • Attends meetings, oversees implementation of care plans, and maintains required documentation.
  • Manages supplies, repairs, safety programs, recreation activities, and staff training.
  • Maintains resident financial records and petty cash, adhering to policies.
  • Ensures proper care, including medication administration and coordination with healthcare providers.
  • Supervises residents' activities, escorts them to appointments, and communicates with staff and external agencies.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations, completes required training and certifications, and maintains background checks.
Knowledge and Abilities
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities, resident care techniques, safety, and administrative procedures.
  • Ability to physically care for residents, handle emergencies, develop programs, supervise staff, and maintain records.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills; proficiency with computer applications.
