Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Habilitation Manager in Wilmington, NC, to lead an interdisciplinary team and oversee habilitation assessments, program implementation, and caregiver supervision in accordance with LIFE, Inc. standards.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on compliance, safety, and staff development in a group home setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of group home operations.
• Understanding of Developmental Disabilities and Mental Illness.
• Understanding of employee relations and management operations.
• Experience in Human Services field.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Complete initial/annual Habilitation Assessments.
• Implement in-services and monitor assigned objectives.
• Ensure personal appearance of all consumers is maintained according to LIFE, Inc. standards.
• Assure medical needs of each assigned consumer are met through medication checks.
• Schedule/transport clients to appointments as required by ICF regulations.
• Monitor operations of facilities for cleanliness and safety.
• Service and maintain vehicles.
• Schedule yearly inspections (fire/sanitation).
• Monitor supplies and emergency provisions.
• Resolve issues with DSPs.
• Assist with disciplinary actions to ensure LIFE, Inc. policies.
• Assist with training of new employees (orientation and ongoing).
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback.
• Ensure implementation of LIFE, Inc. policies.
• Complete inspections and observations per LIFE, Inc. policies.
• Develop staff schedules to comply with wage/hour laws and ICF/IID requirements.
• Approve PTO requests and ensure coverage.
• Develop monthly activity calendar.
• Make purchases to maintain household inventory.
• Monitor DSP schedules and hours.
• Approve DSP timesheets.
