Job summary

Elwyn New Jersey is seeking a Group Home Counselor to provide supervision, guidance, and skill-building to individuals served in residence or program sites, addressing daily living activities, health, safety, and social interactions.

You will perform routine duties including personal care, housekeeping, transportation, meals, and medication administration, while documenting progress and supporting program goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must pass background checks and provide driving record.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision, guidance, and instruction to individuals served in residence or program sites.
• Performs routine housekeeping: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Transports individuals to program sites, appointments, and community activities.
• Administers medications within prescribed time frames and inventories medications.
• Prepares meals per menu and ensures dietary restrictions are observed.
• Completes all required notes, documentation, and attendance records.
