Job summary

Monterey Mushrooms, LLC is seeking a Group FSQA Compliance Specialist to oversee and support group, farms, packing facilities, and processing operations in the U.S. for document control and Food Safety Management Systems.

This role ensures compliance with FDA regulations, state health departments, and Monterey FSQ requirements for fresh mushroom and processed products, including oversight of GFSI audits and CAPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Agricultural Science, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing food safety and quality programs.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining HACCP and Preventive Controls.
• Strong knowledge of FSMA and applicable food safety regulations.
• Knowledge of NOP requirements and Organic Certification compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and project management abilities.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support group, farms, packing facilities, and processing operations in the U.S. for document control and FSMS.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, state health departments, and Monterey FSQA requirements for fresh and processed products.
• Coordinate and oversee organic certification, finished product specifications, customer complaints, sanitation and environmental monitoring, recalls, and third-party audits.
• Coordinate facility audits and CAPA with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain GAP, GMP, and other food safety training materials.
• Lead monthly Corporate QA meetings and drive continuous improvement.
