Job summary

Planet Fitness in York, SC is seeking a friendly Fitness Trainer to lead group and member-focused sessions. You will schedule classes, guide members on safe equipment use, and promote a welcoming Judgement Free Zone.

The role emphasizes customer service, team collaboration, and upholding club standards. You will greet members, assist inquiries, and help maintain spotless facilities while supporting members on their fitness journeys.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months experience in a customer service environment preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older and CPR/AED certified (training provided).
• Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Create a class schedule for members, including Orientation and Develop your own program (DYOP).
• Engage with members on the club floor, instruct on safe equipment use and provide support.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone by assisting and encouraging members on their fitness journeys.
• Perform comprehensive walks of all fitness areas and address issues promptly.
• Conduct prospective member calls and tours to assess membership needs and offer trainer services.
• Greet members and guests, answer inquiries, and assist during check-in.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and spa amenities; ensure restrooms are stocked and clean.
