Job summary

CENTERS, LLC, a professional management firm, is seeking an energetic Group Fitness Instructor for the Recreation Center. You will lead engaging classes, ensure participant safety, and uphold building and program policies while delivering excellent customer service.

Applicants should hold CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, and preferably ACE/AFAA/ACSM credentials with specialty certs. Evening/weekend availability is common in this role.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• ACE, AFAA, ACSM certifications; specialty certs for yoga, cycling, pilates, etc. preferred in some cases.
• Leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of standard practices in recreational sports.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in an environment with high expectations, accountability, and balanced lifestyles.

Responsibilities

• Safely instruct an effective, creative group fitness class at the Recreation Center.
• Provide quality customer service to all participants in class.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor through phone, email, or in person.
• Enforce all program policies and procedures for the class.
• Enforce building policies and procedures and assist during emergencies.
• Attend all Group Fitness and department staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
