Job summary

The Young Mens Christian Association Of The Chesapeake is seeking a part-time Wellness instructor at the Salisbury YMCA. In this role, you will instruct group classes in a safe, enjoyable environment that promotes member wellness and engagement.

You will teach energizing classes, answer member questions, build relationships, and follow YMCA policies. The position is day shift, on-site in Salisbury, MD with hourly pay between $15.00 and $16.00.

Qualifications

• Experience leading group wellness classes preferred.
• Excellent communication and member-service skills.
• Ability to work in a YMCA environment and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Leads energizing, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
• Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
