Fitness Instructor - Group Exercise Classes in a Senior Living Community!

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Fitness Instructor / Specialist to lead scheduled group exercise classes designed to develop and maintain positive fitness levels for residents in a senior living community in Andover, MA.

As a member of our Senior Living Team, you will be an integral component of our continuum of care.

As the Fitness Instructor, you will teach 4+ classes per week:

• Tuesday and Thursday classes at 9:30am
• Friday classes at 9:30am and 10:30am

These classes will be taught at Brightview, North Andover Senior Living Community.

You will also have the option to instruct additional classes on a per diem basis at this location, plus potential Monday class coverage at Brightview, Concord River in Billerica, MA.

Fitness Specialist Responsibilities:

• Lead scheduled group exercise classes for residents of Senior Living Communities, focusing on flexibility, cardio, strength/power, balancing, and standing exercises.
• Develop fitness classes designed to promote positive fitness levels for a senior population.

Qualifications for a Fitness Specialist:

• Certification as a Fitness Instructor, or equivalent, through an accredited national exercise/fitness organization such as ACSM, NSCA, ACE, IDEA or SFA.
• OR*
• Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
• Experience leading Group Fitness Classes to an adult/senior population.
