Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC is seeking a part-time Group Fitness Instructor (PRN - varies) to lead group exercise classes with energy and safety. You will teach techniques, adhere to ACSM guidelines, and monitor the exercise floor to keep it welcoming and safe for members.

Applicants should hold a current Group Exercise certification (e.g., NETA, AFAA) and CPR/AHA certification within 30 days of hire. Prior wellness or fitness program experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current certification in Group Exercise within 30 days of hire (e.g., NETA, AFAA, AAAI-ISMA).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR, BLS, or AHA CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of health and fitness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches fundamental techniques using discussion, demonstration, repetitive practice, and integration of component skills into activity goals.
• Adheres to ACSM guidelines for safe exercise participation.
• Monitors the exercise floor creating a pleasant and safe area for members.
