POSITION DESCRIPTION

This Lead Trainer position offers a unique opportunity to shape the success of a brand-new Burn Boot Camp location. As a foundational member of the team, this is an opportunity to create a thriving fitness community from the ground up.

As a Burn Boot Camp Lead Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic, high-energy group workouts tailored to members of all fitness levels. Your primary focus is helping members achieve their health and fitness goals by pushing them beyond their comfort zones, building confidence, and showing them their true potential. This is achieved through engaging group workouts, conducting one-on-one goal-setting meetings, and providing nutrition guidance to help members embrace Burn Boot Camp’s holistic approach to mindset, nutrition, and fitness.

The Lead Trainer is responsible for driving membership sales and retention while embodying confidence, energy, and approachability. A passionate Burn enthusiast, the ideal candidate is eager to master the Burn Sales process and grow the membership base. They will also hire, train, and manage a team of trainers to deliver consistent excellence in the member experience, ensuring sustained growth and retention.

Accountability
  1. Assist with the execution of the marketing plan including promoting burns at community events, parks, farmers markets, and schools.
  2. Consistently achieve established lead goals by engaging with people, catching their interest, and collecting contact information to keep them engaged with Burn until the location opens.
  3. Promote and sell foundational memberships to leads. Our goal is to sell 100 foundational memberships before the gym opens.
Fitness Product Execution
  1. Train workouts (45-minute camps consisting of personal training in a group setting) tailored to various fitness levels, while adhering to Burn Boot Camp’s protocols.
  2. Promote and conduct focus meetings with members to increase commitment and assist members in achieving goals.
  3. Follow the trainer Blue Carpet Experience before, during, and after camp, every camp, every day.
Member Acquisition and Retention
  1. Build membership by conducting pop-up camps and attending community events to promote Burn.
  2. Responsible for overall membership sales and retention.
  3. Promote retail and nutrition products by wearing retail and promoting nutrition samples.
Leadership and Management of Training Team
  1. Onboard and train the support training team on the Blue Carpet Experience creating an environment of regular feedback and growth.
  2. Create the trainers' schedule to ensure all camp times are covered by adequate trainers.
  3. Lead weekly trainer meetings.
  4. Build relationships and create community within camps including shouting out member celebrations, executing member challenges, creating and posting on social media members page, and creating and executing fitness components of community and member events.
  5. The Lead Trainer is expected to attend camp and participate in the workout protocol.
Operational Execution
  1. Maintain all gym equipment.
  2. Complete set up and clean up for all camps.
QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate is:

  • A proven leader.
  • Able to work with and train clients of all ages and fitness backgrounds to relatively challenge each member.
  • Able to work within a team environment.
  • Positive, high energy, and highly motivated.
  • Able to follow Burn Boot Camp protocol and guidelines.
  • Able to give clear instruction, proper exercise modification, and challenge clients to achieve their fitness and health goals.
  • Growth minded.
  • Dedicated to maintaining personal integrity, client confidentiality, and professional standards for best practice.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Certified Personal Training certification (NASM, ISSA, ACE, ACSM, NSCA) OR 4-year Exercise Science degree with no gap in experience.
  • 1+ year experience in personal training or coaching.
  • Previous experience leading a team.
  • Previous experience in sales.
SPECIFICS
  • Salaried role starting at $50,000 based on experience + bonus opportunities for hitting membership milestones.
  • Free gym membership, discounted retail, and nutrition products.
  • Training uniform shirts provided.
  • The gym will run 38-43 classes per week. 7-8 classes M-F and 3 classes on Saturday. The lead trainer is expected to be the trainer for 25 classes per week until additional trainers have been hired.
  • Hours may include early morning (5am) to evening (8pm) and may change week by week depending on the training schedule.
