Job summary

Cooper Aerobics Enterprises Inc is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to lead cardio and strength classes in Dallas, TX. You will teach HIIT and other formats, motivate participants, and ensure classes run on time with substitutes when needed.

The ideal candidate holds a national group exercise certification (ACE or AFAA), CPR/AED certification, and 2+ years of experience across formats; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• A nationally recognized certification such as ACE or AFAA in group exercise.
• Good communication, leadership and technical skills in leading group classes.
• 2 or more years experience leading a variety of class formats preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan various engaging routine, music, and movements depending upon type of class to educate and motivate participants.
• Instruct with a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and capabilities.
• Motivate members to attend class.
• Teach assigned classes on time and take ownership for covering classes with an appropriate substitute when absent.
• Prepare fitness space for the class and restore space to original state after class.
• Proactively communicate schedule changes to members.
• Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork approach.
• Adhere to company purpose and core values.
• Comply with all Cooper and Client policies.
• Attend work onsite in a timely and consistent manner.
