We are looking for a certified group fitness instructor who loves what they do and also knows that a group exercise class can engage a member like nothing else! An instructor who understands that connecting with members in class can inspire and set members on a track to a healthier life! If that’s you - read on!

What is needed for this job:

  • 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent.
  • YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification (1).
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness.
  • Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards.
  • Provide support and encouragement to members and reinforce healthy lifestyles.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns within the facility.
  • Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction.
  • Ensure that safe movement and technique is utilized by every member in all classes.
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents.
