The New Hope YMCA is seeking certified Group Fitness Instructors! Opportunities available in a variety of class formats including strength and cardio, water exercise, ForeverWell, MOSSA (such as Group Active, Group Blast, Group Fight, Group Power), Les Mills (such as BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyStep), Yoga, Pilates and more. Flexible schedule, career development and training opportunity, free Y membership and more! Nationally recognized Group Fitness Instructor Certification required.
The starting salary for this position is $15.00 per hour. The compensation package for full-time includes a wide range of benefits (medical, dental, life, disability, and more) as well as generous paid time off and free membership. Part-time benefits will vary.
The Group Fitness Instructor instructs quality group fitness classes, provides excellent customer service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
This position reports to the Program Manager who reports to the Director of Healthy Living. The incumbent works closely with the other PT instructors, supervisor, member services, and building/maintenance staff. The incumbent should address members by name and encourage participation in activities.
