Job summary

JCC Association of North America is hiring a Group Fitness Instructor for the Katz JCC in Margate City, NJ. In this role, you will lead and motivate individuals in various fitness activities while ensuring a safe and engaging environment.

Candidates must possess valid CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications, as well as a nationally accredited group exercise certification. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20-$35 and various employee benefits for full-time staff.

Principal Responsibilities:

Job Summary

Group Exercise Instructors lead, instruct and motivate individuals or groups in various exercise activities, including cardiovascular workouts, strength and stretching. $20-$35/Hr

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, efficient and fun group fitness class to a diverse group of physical capabilities
• Come prepared and arrive 10-15 mins prior to start of class
• Encourage participants to reach their fitness and wellness goals
• Have music cued and ready before class is scheduled to start
• Properly introduce themselves to the participants
• Record attendance on Group Ex Pro Instructor portal
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each participant
• Communicate with other staff and supervisor on GroupMe app
• Stay up-to-date on safety and fitness trends
• Maintain a positive attitude for members and staff
• Post substitute request on Group Ex Pro in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications:

Requirements & Qualifications

• CPR, AED and First Aid certification
• Hold a nationally accredited group exercise certification
• Maintain proper certifications for all programs taught
• Comfortable in front of a group and able to motivate participants
• Ability to work with a diverse population and demonstrate appreciation for individual capabilities
• Download and use GroupMe app for all communication
• Download and use Group Ex Pro Instructor Portal
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills

Under $25,000
