Camp Lohikan is searching for individuals qualified to instruct group fitness classes such as:

Aerobics, ZUMBA, Jazzercise, 305 Fitness.. or any similar group dance style fitness instruction.

SUMMER CAMP EMPLOYMENT DATES:

June 22nd through August 29th

PRE and POST CAMP WORK AVAILABLE. Pre-Camp Option: May 1-June 22. Post-Camp Option: August 30 - Sept. 30+.

CAMP LOHIKAN in the Pocono Mts.

Camp Lohikan is a coed resident summer camp located in northeast Pennsylvania. Our campers range in age from 6 to 15. We operate 65+ activities on a daily basis and our facilities are extensive. Click here for more information.

Our Individual Sports Program is awesome! Lohikan features:

Professional Instruction College-enrolled specialty staff members assist with instruction and activity operation. 11 Tennis Courts with Lights 2 Paintball Fields with Lights Inter-camp games are scheduled in all team sports. Last summer over 150 inter-camp games were played. Fully equipped gymnastics center with spring floor, uneven bars, balance beam, vault, floor exercise area, parallel bars, rings. Bungee Trampoline Huge Skate Park Archery and Riflery Range Golf Driving Range Fitness Center with free weights, universals, bikes. Martial Arts Center Inter-camp games are scheduled in all sports activities. Last summer over 150 inter-camp games were played. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Program Director, Head Instructor, Camp Supervisor and Senior Staff Member are titles used to describe positions reserved for teachers, coaches and other child care professionals who assume leadership roles at camp..
Senior Staff Members are provided private accommodations.
Applicants must be individuals with high moral character and a strong work ethic. Working in camp and counseling children is hard work!
We expect our staff members to be excellent role models for our campers. Previous experience working with children is preferred. The capacity to provide warm, mature guidance is most important.
Camp Lohikan is a non-smoking (no vaping) camp.
Depending upon the specialty position, certification, if available, may be required. In any event, staff members applying for a director position must have extensive personal experience participating in the activity, must have demonstrated expertise in the activity, and ideally, should have experience teaching the activity.
As a condition of employment applicants must pass Camp Lohikan's pre-offer and post-offer staff screening processes which include: reference checks, criminal background checks, sex-offender registry check and other staff screening checks deemed appropriate.
