Job summary

Texas Health Huguley is seeking a PRN/Day-shift Group Fitness Instructor to lead classes, ensure participant safety, and provide exceptional service. The role involves preparing lessons, supervising activities, and coordinating coverage during absences.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, CPR/BLS, and a GFI or AFAA certification, with 1+ years of experience preferred. This on-site position supports wellness events and class logistics.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification is required.
• Group Fitness Instructor (GFI) or AFAA certification is required.
• 1+ years of group fitness instruction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and schedule classes, and supervise safety during all class activities.
• Greet members with exemplary service and empathy.
• Report any incidents or injuries using proper forms to the Group Fitness Manager.
• Ensure coverage of classes during illness, injury, or vacation.
• Promote wellness services at events onsite and offsite as needed.
• Manage music and class materials so they are cued and ready.

Job Description

Provides quality classes by preparing lessons in advance and offering classes in accordance with organizational policies. Supervises each participant for safety during all phases of the class and professionally corrects participants as necessary. Greets members and staff with exemplary service and empathy. Reports all incidences or injuries using the proper forms and submits them to the Group Fitness Manager, following up as required. Ensures appropriate coverage of classes in the case of illness, injury, or vacation. Promotes and provides wellness services at events both on and off-site as needed. Acts professionally at all times with both members and staff. Other duties as assigned. Manages music and other class materials, ensuring they are cued and prepared in advance.
