Job summary

A leading fitness company in Austin is seeking a passionate Group Fitness Instructor. In this role, you will deliver engaging group exercise classes that motivate and inspire members. Responsibilities include tracking attendance, providing high-energy classes, and supporting members in their fitness journey. Required qualifications include experience teaching various exercise classes and national fitness certifications. Qualifications

• Experience teaching exercise classes (bootcamp, kickboxing, Zumba, etc.) required.
• Nationally Accredited Group Fitness Certification required.
• CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire).
• Ability to provide a high-energy class environment.
• Strong communication skills and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver motivational instruction during the Group Fitness experience.
• Help members achieve their fitness goals.
• Respond to member issues concerning group fitness classes.
• Assist with tracking class attendance numbers.
• Engage with weekly emails and monthly ZOOMs.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Group Fitness Instructor who is passionate about becoming a part of our club members' fitness journey and providing a great group fitness class experience.

What You’ll Do

As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will deliver a superior group exercise class and fitness experience. The Instructor will get to know our members and become a part of their journey to ensure that their class experience and fitness expectations are met. This position is pivotal in allowing Crunch to achieve our vision “to be the best place to work, and workout.”

• Delivers high-energy, inclusive classes members love, consistently hitting format standards while adding personal flair to boost attendance and retention.
• Builds genuine member relationships—learning names, goals, and preferences—to keep them motivated and connected to their fitness journey.
• Creates a fun, professional experience from warm‑up to cool‑down, showing up prepared/on‑time and owning performance every class.
• Communicates reliably with leadership, supports club culture through teamwork, and continuously grows via trainings while embodying the Undefeated Tribe values.

You prefer to delegate tough decisions to others, and at times find it difficult to say no. You thrive in support and customer service roles, where your excellent people & sales skills can shine. Responsibilities

• Deliver motivational instruction during the member Class‑ic Group Fitness experience.
• Help members achieve their goals on their fitness journey.
• Respond with care to any member issues concerning group fitness classes.
• Assist with accurately tracking class attendance numbers.
• Participate and be engaged with weekly emails, monthly ZOOMs.
• Attend the quarterly staff meeting for onsite training and new quarter class rollout.
• Be involved with the instructor portal and social media for any updates and brand promotions.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching exercise classes for clients of all levels required (bootcamp, kickboxing, Zumba, TRX, sculpt, yoga, Pilates, cycle, POUND, HIIT).
• Nationally Accredited Group Fitness Certification required (AFAA, ACE, or NASM preferred).
• CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire).
• Ability to provide a high‑energy class environment.
• Strong communication skills and customer‑service orientation.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift or move up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Physical effort required for daily duties includes prolonged standing and walking.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
