San Antonio wellness facility is seeking a gym trainer to run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, help members achieve fitness goals, and instruct safe use of all equipment. The role involves front desk duties, member tours, and daily club upkeep.

The ideal candidate has a passion for health and an upbeat attitude, with CPR and a PT certification preferred. 18+ with a high school diploma required. This is a high-energy, customer-focused position in a busy club.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability are a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Personal Training Certification from a preferred association (IFA, ACE or NCSF) is required.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize members with the facility, maintain a welcoming atmosphere and motivate members.
• Run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program and create schedules.
• Consult with members regarding fitness goals and provide motivation and support.
• Instruct members on proper and safe equipment use.
• Create bi-weekly updates with a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist front desk with calls and questions; check members into the system.
• Sign-up new members and provide tours to prospective members.
• Track inventory and assist in daily cleaning and maintenance.
• Respond to member questions and concerns; escalate as needed.
• Other duties as assigned based on club needs.
