Job summary

Planet Fitness - Fitton Clubs in the United States seeks a Fitness Trainer to lead the PE@PF group fitness program and assist new members in achieving their fitness goals. You will design workouts, conduct classes, and demonstrate proper equipment use on-site.

The role requires CPR/AED certification, tanning certification, and a Nationals Certified Trainer credential. You will work full-time, be on-site, and report to the Club Manager, with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work onsite, this is not a remote position.
• Nationally Certified Trainer with accredited certification (ACE, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, or NSCA).
• CPR/AED certification must be obtained and maintained within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new member orientation sessions for PE@PF programs and teach safe use of gym equipment.
• Design and lead small-group fitness classes aligned with Planet Fitness standards.
• Provide general fitness instruction and encouragement; not one-on-one personal training.
• Offer tips to help members use equipment properly and confidently.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all fitness levels.
• Build relationships to encourage regular participation and retention.
• Be visible on the club floor to assist members at all times.
• Promote a Judgement Free Zone.
• Maintain a clean and safe workout environment.
• Assist with front desk duties and member check-ins as needed.
