Job summary

Planet Fitness - Fitton Clubs in Ohio seeks a motivated Fitness Trainer to run the PE@PF group fitness program. You will design workout plans tailored to members, lead engaging group classes, and demonstrate safe equipment use to help members achieve fitness goals.

Responsibilities include member orientation, promoting a Judgment Free Zone, and maintaining a clean, safe gym floor. On-site duties require reliability and strong customer service in a fast-paced club environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work onsite, this is not a remote position.
• Nationally Certified Trainer (ACE, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, or NSCA).
• Obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within required timeframes.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Obtain tanning certification within required timeframes.
• Strong listener with empathy and problem solving.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new member orientation sessions and teach safe, effective use of gym equipment.
• Design and lead small-group fitness classes aligned with Planet Fitness standards.
• Provide general fitness instruction and encouragement—not one-on-one personal training.
• Offer tips to help members use equipment properly and confidently.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all fitness levels.
• Build relationships with members to encourage regular participation and retention.
• Be visible on the club floor to assist members at all times.
• Promote a Judgment Free Zone and ensure members feel welcome.
