Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to take ownership of our financial operations and drive strategic growth. Your goal will be to build a world-class, lean finance team and reduce our month-end close cycle from 15 days to 5 days.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Oversight & Deliverables: Provide financial oversight and deliver final reports to the CEO, Pierre, ensuring strategic alignment.
2. Financial Operations & Reporting:
   • Build and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of learning.
   • Oversee daily financial activities including bookkeeping, payroll, and cash flow.
   • Manage inter-company financing in compliance with transfer pricing rules.
   • Ensure accurate financial reporting and meet deadlines.
   • Automate reconciliation processes in NetSuite.
   • Supervise month-end and year-end closing procedures.
   • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
   • Coordinate audits with external consultants.
3. Internal Controls & Risk Management:
   • Develop internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
   • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting:
   • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
   • Develop financial models for strategic planning.
   • Collaborate with leadership on financial strategies to optimize growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in accounting or finance, with 2+ years in leadership.
• Recognized professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA).
• Experience managing financial reporting, budgeting, and audits in an international context.
• Experience with financial analysis, controls, and risk management in high-growth environments (SaaS experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in NetSuite, AP, and FP&A tools.
