Job summary

Wheeler-Clinic in Connecticut seeks a Group Facilitator to co-facilitate psycho-educational sessions for CSSD-referred clients and provide related case management. The role covers Waterbury and Hartford area locations including Hartford, New Britain, Bristol, Middletown, Meriden and Enfield.

Daytime hours are preferred. Requires BA/BS with 3 years in CJ population or MA/MS with 1 year in CJ, plus group facilitation experience and domestic violence exposure.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 3 years working with the criminal justice population.
• MA/MS degree with 1 year working with the criminal justice population.
• Experience facilitating groups and group dynamics; domestic violence experience required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and/or co-facilitates psycho-educational groups for CSSD referrals.
• Performs case management duties (appointments, referrals) for group clients.
• Leads program orientation for new referrals and explains service guidelines.
• Completes required documentation (progress notes, updates, reports) per protocol.
• Attends supervision/training per contract requirements and schedules.
• Communicates client/group/agency issues to the Program Manager promptly.
• Submit vouchers within one month of service date.
• Develops knowledge of culture and related approaches for groups served.
