Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Virginia is hiring a Group Facilitator for our new inpatient detox and residential facility in North Chesterfield. You will conduct group therapy, provide psychoeducation, and help clients build healthy coping skills and recovery tools.

You will collaborate with clinical staff, document sessions thoroughly, and ensure accurate client charting. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field, at least one year in treatment, and licensure to

• Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Valid licensure to practice as a clinician in state (CSAC).
• If in recovery, minimum one-year sobriety required.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Strong presence and sound judgment.
• Warm, dignified and honest character that inspires trust.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups for clients.

What You'll Do

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools
• Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress
• Escalate any significant client concerns to Clinical Director
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted
• Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field preferred
• Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred
• Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in this state- CSAC
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
• Strong presence and sound judgement
• Warm, dignified and honest character that inspires trust and models recovery principles
