Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Fort Wayne is seeking a Group Facilitator for First Shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), five days per week, including every other weekend. You will facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups to support clients through recovery.

Work alongside therapists and nurses, monitor client progress, and maintain accurate documentation in line with regulatory standards. Indiana-licensed clinicians or CADAC/LAC/LMHC/LMFT credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Indiana clinical license or CADAC I–V/LAC/LCAC/LMHC/LMFT required.
• Minimum one year of experience in substance use or behavioral health preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and professional demeanor.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups to support clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Help clients develop healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and the multidisciplinary treatment team to monitor client progress.
• Communicate significant client concerns promptly to the Clinical Director or appropriate clinical leadership.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for all group sessions and client interactions.
• Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate psychoeducational, process, and therapeutic groups that support clients throughout their recovery journey

What We're Looking For

• Current Indiana clinical license or addiction counseling credential (CADAC I‑V, LAC, LCAC, LMHC, or LMFT)
• One year of experience in substance use or behavioral health treatment preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and observational skills
• Strong clinical judgment and professionalism
• Compassionate, ethical, and dependable, with a genuine passion for helping others
• If in recovery, a minimum of one year of sustained sobriety is required
