Job summary

Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas is seeking a Group Facilitator to support New Hope Healing Grounds residents and outpatients with chemical dependency education. Responsible for developing lesson plans, presenting topics, and supervising attendance and records, in coordination with counselors and the Program Director.

The role requires bilingual communication in English and Spanish, strong classroom management, and use of Microsoft Office tools to create engaging materials.

Qualifications

• Must have strong classroom instruction and public speaking abilities.
• Must develop educational lesson plans for residents/outpatients with chemical dependency.
• Experience with educational presentations on Alcohol and Drugs, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention or related topics.

Responsibilities

• Develop educational lesson plans for resident/outpatient classes.
• Research topics related to chemical dependency and present to groups.
• Identify and show appropriate educational films and lead discussions.
• Track attendance and submit rosters to case manager.
• Communicate with counselors and program director about participant behavior.
• Prepare materials for daily classes or substitutes.
• Demonstrate cultural awareness of Kickapoo traditions and life.
• Facilitate educational groups as needed.
• Transport clients to NA meetings and assist with NA meetings development.
• Be on call 24/7 for transportation to meetings or treatment centers.
• Work Saturdays and one Sunday per month for NA-related events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
