Job summary

Monte Nido Tysons Corner in McLean, VA seeks a Per Diem Group Facilitator to lead group sessions for adults in eating disorder treatment and support personal development.

Responsibilities include facilitating sessions, monitoring client needs, documenting progress, and collaborating with staff; schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–4pm; compensation is $21–$28 per hour.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology or related human services field required or in progress.
• Licensed (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW).
• Prior experience treating eating disorders in residential or inpatient settings is helpful.
• Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and implement group sessions to create a safe environment.
• Maintain awareness of individual client needs and facilitate emotional expression.
• Document group sessions including progress, concerns and mental status.
• Develop positive working relationships with staff and colleagues.
• Attend mandatory training and in-service collaborations.

Monte Nido Tysons Corner

McLean, VA is a primary eating disorder day treatment program exclusively for adults seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Through partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming, clients participate in group and individual therapy, benefit from Monte Nido’s clinical, medical, psychiatric and nutritional expertise and experience real life challenges.

The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating and implementing group sessions. The goal is for the facilitator to create a safe environment so that all patients feel comfortable in sharing about emotional difficulties. The group facilitator will also need to provide a catalyst for the personal development of the patients.

We are seeking a Per Diem Group Facilitator to join our Monte Nido team.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Pay

$21-$28/hr

• Document group sessions including patients' progress or lack thereof, problems, concerns and mental status.
• Follow the format and requirements within the program.
• Ensure that all documentation related to the provision of direct patient services is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established policies and procedures and state standards.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, interns, management and other professional colleagues.
• Attend mandatory training and in-service collaborations.

Qualifications

• Must be actively working on master's degree in social work, psychology or related human services field
• Licensed (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, etc.).
• Prior experience treating those with eating disorders in a residential or inpatient setting is very helpful.
• Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion practices
