Job summary

Monte Nido Tysons Corner in McLean, VA seeks a Per Diem Group Facilitator to join our eating disorder day treatment team. The role focuses on facilitating group sessions, creating a safe environment where patients share emotional difficulties, and acting as a catalyst for personal development.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8am–4pm. Requirements include actively pursuing a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field, and licensure-eligibility in a counseling area.

Qualifications

• Must be actively working on a master’s degree in social work, psychology or related human services field.
• Licensed (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, etc.).
• Prior experience treating eating disorders in residential or inpatient settings is very helpful.
• Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group sessions.
• Facilitate interaction between group members.
• Maintain awareness of individual client's needs.
• Facilitate identification and congruent expression of feelings.
• Document group sessions including patients’ progress or lack thereof, problems, concerns and mental status.
• Follow the format and requirements within the program.
• Ensure documentation related to direct patient services is completed timely per policies and state standards.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, interns, management and other professionals.
• Attend mandatory training and in-service collaborations.

Group Facilitator

Monte Nido Tysons Corner, McLean, VA

Monte Nido Tysons Corner, located in McLean, VA is a primary eating disorder day treatment program exclusively for aadults seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Through partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming, clients participate in group and individual therapy, benefit from Monte Nido’s clinical, medical, psychiatric and nutritional expertise and experience real life challenges.

The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating and implementing group sessions. The goal is for the facilitator to create a safe environment so that all patients feel comfortable in sharing about emotional difficulties. The group facilitator will also need to provide a catalyst for the personal development of the patients.

We are seeking a Per Diem Group Facilitator to join our Monte Nido team.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Pay: $21-$28/hr
