Job summary

Discovery Transitions Outpatient is seeking a compassionate Group Facilitator to lead psychoeducational and process groups for clients in outpatient substance use treatment. You will foster a safe, professional environment, encourage participation, and support recovery growth in PHP/IOP programs.

Responsibilities include documenting participation in EMR, collaborating with staff, and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred.
• RADT/CADC/CATC or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems (KIPU) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate scheduled group sessions for PHP and IOP clients.
• Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic rapport with clients.
• Document group participation in the EMR.
• Monitor client engagement and behavioral concerns.
• Collaborate with clinical and operations staff.

Outpatient Group Facilitator – Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Discovery Transitions Outpatient is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and engaging Group Facilitator to join our growing outpatient behavioral health team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping individuals in recovery through structured group facilitation, accountability, and support.

Position Overview

The Group Facilitator is responsible for leading psychoeducational and process groups for clients participating in outpatient substance use treatment services. The facilitator will help create a safe, professional, and supportive therapeutic environment while encouraging participation, recovery growth, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate scheduled group sessions for PHP and IOP clients
• Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic rapport with clients
• Document group participation and attendance in the EMR system
• Assist in monitoring client engagement and behavioral concerns
• Collaborate with clinical and operations staff regarding client needs
• Ensure groups remain compliant with program structure and schedules
• Support clients in understanding recovery principles, coping skills, relapse prevention, communication skills, and emotional regulation
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience working in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, or mental health preferred
• RADT, CADC, CATC, or equivalent certification preferred
• Strong communication and group management skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with KIPU or EMR systems preferred
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
