POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Group Exercise Instructor supplies group exercise instruction and support for the Health and Wellness department. The Group Exercise Instructor maintains a safe and friendly environment while they lead members through a purposeful fitness program fit to their health and exercise needs.
Seeking instructors to lead our Move Strong classes. Ideal candidates should hold a current GFI certification and be available to teach Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8:15–9:00 a.m. These classes focus on strength training for active older adults (Strong Senior‑focused training).
Additional opportunities are available for instructors certified to teach TRX and other strength‑based group exercise formats during evening and weekend hours, as well as Line Dancing as a group exercise specialty.
