Job summary

Delta College’s Fitness & Recreation Center seeks a Student Employee to lead group exercise classes, ensuring safe and enjoyable sessions. The role requires CPR & AED certification, basic first aid, and teaching experience with an aerobic certification or progress toward one.

Qualifications

• Must have current CPR & AED certification.
• Basic first aid knowledge.
• Teaching experience and an aerobic certification (or working towards) by agencies: AFAA, ACE, Delta College, or N'Deita.
• Must be enrolled at Delta College and registered for a minimum of six (6) credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Teach and lead group exercise classes, on time and with substitute when needed.
• Monitor participants’ exertion levels and heart rates.
• Record class numbers and collect passes if required.
• Administer first aid in emergencies until relieved by a qualified individual.
• Coordinate with Campus Police and Facilities Management for incident forms and safety.
• Promote F&RC programs to class participants and assist with retention.
