Description:

GENERAL FUNCTION

Under the direction of the Director of Healthy Living, the Group Exercise Instructorwill be responsible for planning and directing group exercise classes with an emphasis on safe and effective routines as well as building community.

DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and prepare class routines that meet all the necessary components and safe guidelines in accordance with current accepted practices of exercise physiology.
• Allow for pre/post class member engagement to build member relations.
• Start and end class on time.
• Maintain equipment and keep group exercise area clean.
• Awareness of all branch emergency procedures.
• Participate in continuing education training specific to individual goals and branch objectives.
