Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to lead classes at Carilion Wellness. You will teach safe and motivating sessions, ensuring proper technique and a positive atmosphere across the program.

Requires basic health/fitness knowledge and a Carilion Wellness approved certification prior to hire; no prior experience needed beyond the certification. Role includes variable hours and benefits alignment.

Qualifications

• Education: Basic knowledge of health and fitness is required.
• Experience: none.
• Licensure, certification: Must possess a Carilion Wellness approved group exercise certification prior to hire (e.g. Les Mills, Zumba, Barre Above, or a NCCA-accredited or NBFE approved organization).
• Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to instruct exercises in a confident manner to a group; knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to exercise and safety.
