Job description

Part-Time Group Exercise Instructor

Schedule:Classes as scheduled, with no guaranteed minimum number of hours Elite Integrated Therapy Centers is seeking energetic and dependable Group Exercise Instructors to join our Health Club team in Greer. This flexible position is ideal for instructors who enjoy creating a welcoming and encouraging environment for individuals with a variety of fitness levels and abilities. Instructors will work during their assigned classes and related preparation and closing time. Opportunities to provide individual or small-group personal training may also be available based on client demand, qualifications, and scheduling needs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead safe, engaging, and inclusive group exercise classes
  • Prepare class plans appropriate for participants with varying fitness levels
  • Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and safe equipment use
  • Modify exercises when appropriate to support participant needs
  • Create a positive and encouraging experience for members
  • Track class attendance and communicate participation trends
  • Assist with opening or closing responsibilities when assigned
  • Communicate scheduling needs, coverage concerns, and facility issues
  • Maintain all required certifications and documentation
Qualifications
  • Current group fitness certification from a nationally recognized organization preferred
  • Previous experience leading group exercise classes preferred
  • Current CPR and AED certification, or willingness to obtain before beginning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate participants with different experience levels and physical abilities
  • Dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently
  • Availability to teach scheduled classes during Health Club operating hours

Experience working with older adults, individuals returning to exercise, or people with varying physical abilities is a plus. Personal training certification is also a plus but is not required.

Schedule

Classes may be scheduled during the Health Club’s operating hours:

  • Monday through Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This is a limited-hour position based on the class schedule and member demand. Instructors are not expected to maintain general onsite hours between scheduled classes. Weekday morning and Saturday availability is preferred, and opportunities to serve as a substitute instructor may also be available.
