Job summary

Ymca Of South Alabama is seeking a part-time Group Fitness Instructor to lead safe, engaging classes at the John McClure Snook Family YMCA in Foley, AL. You will deliver workouts that accommodate varying fitness levels and reflect the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Responsibilities include planning sessions, modifying as needed, arriving prepared, maintaining a clean studio, and promoting attendance while upholding safety protocols and YMCA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current Group Fitness Instructor certification (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Previous experience teaching group fitness classes preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire individuals in a group setting.
• Ability to lead physical fitness activities for extended periods.
• Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
